Banda de Prog Metal da Finlândia. A banda chegou a lançar esse álbum com o antigo nome, "Aspera", mas por motivos de direitos autorais, a banda relançou o disco com o nome de Above Symmetry.

Mortification - Lendas do Christian Rock


Mortification é uma banda australiana formada em 1990 por Steve Rowe apartir de sua extinta banda de Heavy Metal chamada Lightforce. Por serem todos cristãos e deixarem isso explícito em suas músicas, a banda sempre foi alvo de muita polêmica, mas isso nunca gerou muitos problemas para a carreira da banda, que conseguiu contratos representativos e turnês em todo o mundo.

Os primeiros trabalhos da banda eram uma mistura frenética de Death e Thrash metal, até que em 1992 a banda investiu totalmente no Death Metal criando um de seus mais aclamados albums: "Scrolls of the Megilloth". Depois disso a influência Thrash foi voltando, junto com uma influência Groove, até que no fim da década de 1990, a influência do Death Metal era pouco notada.

Logo depois, como num retorno às raízes, a banda investe novamente na mistura de Death/Thrash Metal que teve início com o album "Relentless", e ficou ainda mais forte em Erasing the Goblin. Um fato marcante para a carreira da banda foi a quase morte de Steve Rowe (baixista/vocalista/compositor/único membro original) que foi diagnosticado com Leucemia em meados de 1997, mas teve uma recuperação milagrosa.

2009 foi marcado pelo lançamento do álbum "The Evil Addiction Destroying Machine", um dos melhores trabalhos da banda. Em 2012. após 3 anos de uma longa espera, o lendario Mortification de Steve e Cia lança o EP "Scribe of the Pentateuch" trazendo novamente a banda em um poderoso Death Metal na linha de bandas como: Arch Enemy !
